I'm a wife and new mother to our fraternal twins Robert and David. Their birth gave me a new drive to design and build a satisfying life that made me excited to wake up in the morning. This involved me leaving my unfulfilling job, choosing to write my own narrative rather than having it determined for me...

I used to label myself as a "Fixer with a Savior Complex". One of the many problems with this was I thought it was up to me to come up with the perfect solution on the first try - if it sounds like i was living a frustrating life...I was! I have a much more organic approach now: one that involves much more Grace and flexibility - I'm learning that it's not about finding the one perfect solution to execute, it's about the journey of discovering the solutions that serve you best - and it's a daily exercise!

I grew up in a small, low-energy family that had very little social interaction with our extended family, and married into a very high-energy (sometimes hyperactive!) family. Together, my husband Jacob and I are working to build our own family that has the energy level somewhere in between. That doesn't mean we aren't constantly on our toes! From celebrating family milestones to supporting the attendance of corporate events; executing house projects of every size and origin, and being present for our own family as it grows and develops - every week presents the challenging question: Can I Keep Up with the Johnsons?
